Each year, more than 100 women and 60 children seek emergency shelter at The Women’s Centre.
We support more than 1,500 women through crisis calls,
safety plans, and outreach programs like counselling and
court support.
Many of our supporters are surprised to learn that, while we receive funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, we rely on community donations to fund many essential services, including seven of our twenty beds.
Shelters save the lives of women and children while giving
them a chance at a new start. Your gift helps women and their children pursue a life free from violence and abuse.
