Support and information is available to residents and women in the community to help them to make positive choices and changes in their lives, and the lives of their children through our Transitional Support Worker.

The Transitional Support Worker works together with women who are transitioning from a life of abuse to living an independent, healthy life in the community. She can help women to set goals and plan the steps they need to take to reach them. She can offer guidance, advocacy, referrals to other community agencies and assistance to support women as they make changes.
Help is available in the areas of continuing education, employment, personal growth, housing, health, credit counselling, recreation and financial matters. The Transitional Support Worker will also work with women to develop safety plans, build understanding about the cause and impact of abuse, create coping strategies, build self-esteem, and provide guidance on life and parenting challenges.
